2016 Bruce Jack Rioja Reserva Spain
£11.50 / Per Bottle
I grew up on the southern tip of Africa, but immersed in the language, food and music of Spain. It seemed perfectly natural when, in 2005, I was given the opportunity to make wine in Spain for the first time. With many happy vintages under the belt, Spain feels even more like a second home. The traditions of this magnificent region are the foundation of this wine, overlayed with subtle tannin, delicious grapes and a very particular house style. Crafted for long lunches and collaborating across continents.

Winemaking
With over 250ha of owned vineyards at their disposal, including some of the oldest Graciano vines in the world, our partners, Victor and the team at Manzanos are fortunately placed to put both the sub-region and the name Manzanos firmly on the map of the most important producers in Rioja.
Vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soil at an average height of 400m above sea level. Meticulous attention to detail in the vineyards, coupled with the extreme climate, offer the perfect conditions for the production of great wines. Grapes are all hand-picked in early October.
Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrel for 24 months.
